Master of Analytical Psychology (Second English Edition)

This postgraduate course is dictated and accredited by the Jungian Analytical Psychology Foundation -JAPF- with legal status 350 “A”/14 since 2014. This Foundation is one of the first institutions in Argentina to gain such status. Currently the JAPF operates  worldwide.

This course is designed to introduce the student to the work and thinking of Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) on the basis of the Analytical Psychology, also known as Depth Psychology. The main requirement for those interested in this course is to be willing to learn and be ready to explore and discover Jung’s fantastic theory and holistic views that bring together Psychology, Mythology, Comparative Religions, Politics, Philosophy and the Interpretation of Dreams and Fairy Tales.

By completing this online master’s course, students will develop essential employability skills, including a broader understanding of depth psychological thinking applicable to clinical and academic work. Students will be capable of thinking analytically and critically, acquiring effective essay-writing skills and research methods in analytical psychology. Our course will give them the necessary tools to work in academic research or clinical settings.

This Master’s programme is structured in a two-year time.

During the first year, the programme covers the following topics:

  • Jungian Epistemology
  • History of Jungian Psychology
  • Structure of the Psyche
  • Dynamics of the Psyche

During the second year, three possible lines of research are studied:

  • Jungian Psychotherapy
  • Art and Analytical Psychology
  • Cultural Studies and Analytical Psychology
  • Politics and Analytical Psychology
  • Religion, Spirituality and Analytical Psychology
  • Gender studies

These will be the main lines of research. However, each student will be able to adapt their developments based on their interests (Philosophy, Religion, Alchemy, Politics, Economics, Marketing, Teaching, Law, Physics, etc.). Every student will be able to choose an institutional teacher to direct them in their final work (always bearing in mind that no teacher can guide more than three students so as not to lose the quality of their interventions).

The course is taught through distance learning. Thus, the entire course is delivered online without face-to-face seminars or in-person teaching. Participation in our program does not grant Jungian analyst status. However, students will experience a substantial grounding for further studies in Analytical Psychology. In addition, students will be able to certify this academic title (according to the laws of each country) since the JAPF has legal status.

The students attending the course will not be certified as analysts as a result of their participation in our program. However, they will experience a substantial grounding for the further study of Analytical Psychology and they will be able to certify this academic title (according to the laws of each country) since the JAPF has legal status.
